Job description

We currently have an open position in the Systems Integration Engineering Department for an Associate Systems Integration Engineer. The Associate Integration Engineer is a position that requires a unique blend of both problem solving and software engineering skills. The Associate Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for working with prime contractors and end-users to integrate our industry-leading, Image Generators (IGs) into trainers and simulators.  The primary workplace for this position is at customer and end-user sites and supported from a home and/or Orlando based office.
U.S. Citizenship required to obtain Security Clearance needed to visit customer sites.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the integration of IGs to simulators and trainers at prime contractor and end-user sites
  • Work with customers to meet program requirements and bring IGs to ready for training (RFT) status
  • Develop/Modify/Debug Aechelon and customer related software as necessary to meet program requirements.
  • Work with Aechelon Program Management (PM) and customers to assess and resolve IG Discrepancy Reports (DRs)
  • Interface with Aechelon SW Engineering and Systems Test Engineering teams to help reproduce and resolve runtime bugs
  • Provide email and phone support of our IGs and interfaces to prime contractors and end-users

Required Skills and Experience:

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical field
  • 1-3 years experience in SW development and/or SW integration
  • Experience with C and C++ programming
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • MS in Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical field
  • Active security clearance
  • 3+ years experience in SW development or SW integration for real-time, flight simulators, display systems or similar fields
  • Strong C and C++ programming skills
  • Experience with OpenGL
  • Experience with Qt GUI SDK
  • Experience with PC-based IGs (Image Generators)
  • Proficiency with scripting languages: VBScript, Python, PowerShell, bash, etc.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Experience with defect tracking systems such as Bugzilla, JIRA, or Mantis
  • Experience with Configuration Management (CM) systems such as Perforce or Razor

Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 USD per year

The above range is specific to FLORIDA and may not be applicable to other locations. The pay scale for this role is between $85,000 - $95,000. Final compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
