What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an associate integration engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Associate Integration Engineer, you need strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of integration concepts, and a relevant degree in computer science or engineering. Familiarity with integration platforms (such as MuleSoft or Dell Boomi), API protocols, and basic coding languages like Java or Python is commonly required. Excellent problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and clear communication help you stand out in this role. These skills ensure seamless system connectivity and effective collaboration, which are critical for delivering reliable integration solutions.

What are some common challenges associate integration engineers face when working on cross-departmental projects?

Associate Integration Engineers often collaborate with multiple teams, such as software developers, business analysts, and IT support, to ensure systems communicate effectively. A common challenge in these projects is aligning differing priorities and technical requirements across departments, which can sometimes result in miscommunication or delays. Success in the role often involves proactive communication, a solid understanding of integration tools, and flexibility to adapt to evolving project needs. Building strong relationships and maintaining thorough documentation can help mitigate these challenges and ensure smooth project delivery.

What is an associate integration engineer?

Associate Integration Engineers are entry-level professionals who help integrate software systems, applications, and data across different platforms within an organization. They work under the guidance of senior engineers to design, develop, test, and implement integration solutions, ensuring that various systems can communicate and share information efficiently. Job description

Do you love the smell of jet fuel in the morning? Are you passionate about shaping the future of air travel? RS&H is expanding with a new office in Las Vegas, and weโ€™re seeking an Airfield Engineer to assist with civil technical design for airport projects including contributing to a brand-new commercial airport, the first of its kind in the U.S. since Denver International Airport nearly 30 years ago.

This is a rare opportunity to make history while enjoying the autonomy to influence local operations and help shape the culture of a new office, aligned with RS&Hโ€™s core values of Integrity, Accountability, Curiosity, and Teamwork.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Historic Scale: Work on a multi-billion-dollar, nationally visible aviation project.
  • Innovation at the Forefront: Influence cutting-edge airfield design and planning solutions.
  • Unmatched Support: Backed by RS&Hโ€™s national aviation teamโ€”the #6 ranked aviation design firm by ENR and designer of the most recent new runways in the U.S.

What Youโ€™ll Do

As a key member of the Infrastructure team, you will:

  • Lead civil design for airfield projects and serve as a technical expert.
  • Prepare project specifications, complete project documents, engineering analyses, and reports.
  • Analyze and interpret data; perform design, planning, and impact studies; and support cost analyses, site selection, and limited design layouts.
  • Design complete projects, systems, components, and processes.
  • Perform quality control reviews and ensure key milestones are met.
  • Conduct field reviews and observations on active construction sites.
  • Provide technical guidance, assign tasks to junior staff, and help build and mentor a growing team.
  • Manage discipline-specific tasks or small, multidisciplinary project teams to ensure contractual compliance and project success.

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Hold an engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Be a Professional Engineer (PE) in good standing.
  • Have strong knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Be proficient in production software and construction document development.
  • Demonstrate the ability to resolve challenging issues professionally and effectively.
  • Have experience working on major projects or multiple mid-sized projects, reviewing technical work of others, and contributing to new processes, services, or standards.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, team members, and stakeholders.

What We Offer

  • Hybrid work flexibility
  • Relocation assistance and potential signing bonus
  • Opportunity to help establish and grow a new RS&H office
  • Support from RS&Hโ€™s national aviation team and extensive network of resources

If this sounds like the role for you and you're ready to join an amazing team, please apply. #LI-EC1
