Energy Property Broker

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting the Energy team. As a Senior Property Broker, you will work with Associate Brokers, Brokers, Account Executives, and Practice Leadership.

 Location Hybrid: Houston, TX

 What the day will look like
  • Market new and renewal business, handling all aspects of the placements from initial market selection through policy delivery to client.
  • Ensure that placements are handled accurately and on time
  • Build and maintain detailed knowledge of the Energy Property insurance marketplace, products and services
  • Develop productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters and Aon local office teams
  • Identify and analyze prospect and client exposures.
  • Coordinate activities with other internal units as required to meet customer needs.
  • Present to local account executives, participate in RFPs, client meetings and conference calls.
  • Key member of the client-facing team, acting as a trusted advisor to the executive level client in broking, designing, selling and servicing complex accounts.
  • Serves as a primary internal source for information concerning market trends, pricing practices and other underwriting policies, often within a specialized area.
  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, resourcing and executing large projects/ programs.
  • Frequently interacts with senior level colleagues and clients, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or clients and the company.

 Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • 3+ years of energy property broking or underwriting experience.
  • Effective solid understanding of carrier underwriting practices & processes.
  • Validated leadership skills in working with teams and ability to work with clients and to effectively exceed client expectations.
  • Confirmed client-facing skills including effective presentations & communications.
  • Proven organization and ability to work with others.
  • Experience in resource deployment and utilization management.
  • Successfully operates in a fast-paced driven environment that requires the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various levels.
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, exceptional organizational skills, ability to make and communicate difficult decisions.
  • Must maintain appropriate broker’s licenses.

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or equivalent years of experience as an Energy Broker. Property and Casualty Brokers License within 120 days of hire.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $110,000 - $170,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Texas. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.  The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
