Accounting Clerk - Job Description Company: Mr. Rooter Plumbing Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Position Overview Mr. Rooter Plumbing is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk with a strong passion for accounting and a drive to complete tasks efficiently. This role is responsible for handling a full range of accounting transactions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general finance duties. The ideal candidate will be organized, responsive, and capable of working collaboratively with management and team members. Key Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming client calls and respond to emails
  • Assist managers with weekly accounting-related tasks
  • Verify, process, and issue refunds
  • Process credit card transactions and finance
  • Generate and maintain monthly financial reports
  • Resolve customer billing issues
  • Manage Accounts Payable from start to finish
  • Manage Accounts Receivable from start to finish
  • Request and maintain customer W-9 forms and Certificates of Insurance (COI)
  • Communicate with customers regarding past-due invoices
  • Assist with special accounting projects as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • QuickBooks Reports, QuickBooks Acknowledgement, QuickBooks Emails, QuickBooks Accounting (preferred)
Qualifications Education:
  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
Experience:
  • 1-2 years of general accounting or finance experience (required)
  • 2-3 years of experience with accounting software such as:
