Job description

Role: Retail Sales Associate/Mask Fit Tester

Employment: Part-time (16-24 hrs/wk)

Location: North York, ON

Wage: $20/hr to start + commission


Worksite is looking for safety-minded professionals who are resourceful, self-motivated and highly organized to support our retail customers in their safety equipment needs. This part-time sales role will be based out of our new North York Training Centre and is for weekends and possibly weekday evenings. The Retail Sales Associate will also conduct scheduled qualitative mask fit tests as needed. This is an in-store sales role and remote-based work is not available.


The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting customers in finding the appropriate worksite safety equipment for their needs
  • Conducting equipment sales transactions (cashless)
  • Store opening and closing tasks
  • Monitoring inventory of training centre materials and supplies
  • Resolving customer questions about Worksite training and services
  • Providing qualitative mask fit testing to individuals as booked online
  • Educating mask fit customers on mask use best practices
  • Other duties as required to support the location and client services teams


To best support our customers, we are seeking candidates that have the following qualifications and experience:

    • 2+ years experience in customer service and sales in a retail environment
    • Experience in an occupational health and safety role preferred
    • Education in medical administration or occupational health and safety preferred
    • Experience in delivering qualitative mask fit testing is considered an asset
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and independent setting
    • Working knowledge of and experience using Google Drive and Gmail
    • Proficiency with Square use or other cashless POS system is considered an asset
    • Ability to prioritize conflicting priorities and manage multiple deadlines
    • Excellent organization and communication skills
