GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

Who is a GroupFitness Instructor?

The Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for providing a high quality, engaging and motivating

experience, that includes safe, inclusive and enjoyable instruction and leadership for participants in all Group

classes.

What will you be doing?

  • Provides instruction of a high quality, safe and enjoyable experience that embodies the essence of the programming assigned and meets GoodLife's standard of delivery, in all Group Fitness classes that serves to sustain and/or increase class participation.
  • Promotes/supports all Group Experience programming by encouraging continued participation in their classes and other classes on the schedule to increase Member engagement and adherence in Group Experience programming.
  • Shares guidance, recommendations and information about all Club services to best serve the needs of the Members, by staying informed of information they can be speaking to during their classes.
  • Follows all class operating procedures and encourages Members to book into their next class at the end of each class.
  • Sources/downloads class music to personal devices for use when teaching.
  • Learns new release material & scripting if applicable.
  • Reviews workout plans & scripting prior to class to ensure smooth and accurate class delivery.
  • Stays up to date with any education or changes in programming as required.
  • Stays informed about information relative to their Club that they can promote in their classes to help inform Members when required.
  • Arrives in time to ensure class promptly starts on time.
  • Provides feedback to the General Manager when necessary, from themselves or Members, about schedules, studios, classes etc., and seeks ways to help ensure positive Member experiences and participation in Group Experience programming.

Compensation:

It is expected that the selected candidate will start at a base wage of $32.00 based on experience and certifications held. The expected range of total compensation is $32.00 - $56.00 per one hour class (prorated for shorter or longer classes), determined by performance and time in the position.
