Job description

Join AstraZeneca's US Commercial Hematology/Nephrology business as a strategic analytics partner to business leadership and cross-functional teams. In this role, you will lead the development and continuous improvement of reporting, dashboards, business intelligence, and analytics solutions that support commercialization strategy, business performance, field execution, and new product launches.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead commercial analytics delivery: Design, develop, enhance, maintain, and drive adoption of scalable dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions for headquarters and field teams.
  • Shape the analytics roadmap: Advance capabilities in AI, automation, advanced analytics, self-service reporting, process optimization, and intelligent business insights.
  • Partner across the organization: Collaborate with Business Unit leadership, Insights & Analytics, Sales Operations, Marketing, Market Access, Patient Support, Digital, Data Management, IT, and external partners.
  • Translate needs into solutions: Define requirements, data needs, business rules, metrics, visualizations, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure quality and usability: Establish reporting standards and documentation, validate data, reconcile outputs to core systems, coordinate testing and releases, and resolve production issues.
  • Enable better decisions: Deliver actionable ad hoc analyses supporting brand strategy, customer engagement, field execution, market access, patient support, and product launches.
  • Improve efficiency and adoption: Expand self-service analytics, provide user training, automate processes, and develop reusable reporting components.
Required qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Statistics, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience: At least7 years of relevant experience, including5 or more years in commercial analytics, business intelligence, or reporting.
  • Industry knowledge: Experience supporting pharmaceutical or biotech commercial organizations.
  • Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, relational databases, and large-scale data analysis, with hands-on experience using ANSI SQL and/or Hive SQL.
  • Reporting tools: Experience with Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence and visualization platforms.
  • Commercial data familiarity: Knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources, including Veeva CRM, patient hub, specialty pharmacy, and syndicated claims data.
  • Leadership capabilities: Strong communication, strategic thinking, project leadership, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead through influence.

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $147,908.00 - $221,862.00 USD Annual. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives-an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs, paid time off (i.e., vacation, holiday, and leaves), as well as health, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
