Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full delivery lifecycle of AI-enabled products and features, partnering with data science, engineering, and product teams from ideation through production release
  • Coordinate model development, validation, and deployment milestones for AI/ML initiatives, including data readiness, testing, and ongoing monitoring plans
  • Lead implementation and enhancement projects for clinical analytical solutions (e.g., clinical reporting/dashboarding platforms, statistical computing environments), coordinating closely with clinical operations, medical reviewers, and data management stakeholders
  • Translate clinical and scientific requirements into actionable project plans in partnership with clinical and cross-functional teams
  • Ensure AI and clinical analytics projects meet applicable data privacy, data integrity, and regulatory/compliance requirements, including 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR, and HIPAA as applicable
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of broader IT projects, including scope definition, planning, resourcing, budgeting, execution, and closeout, applying Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, RACI, RAID logs, and status reports for stakeholders and leadership
  • Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating appropriately and driving resolution; manage project budgets, forecasts, and vendor/contract commitments
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across IT infrastructure, application development, data/analytics, and QA, and facilitate governance activities such as steering committee updates, change control, and stage-gate reviews
  • Ensure projects adhere to IT change management, validation, and documentation standards (including GxP/SDLC requirements), and manage vendor and system integrator relationships, including SOWs and performance tracking
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field (advanced degree a plus); PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience managing IT projects, including infrastructure, applications, or data/analytics initiatives, with strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana)
  • Demonstrated experience managing AI or machine learning product initiatives, from development through deployment, with familiarity in model validation, MLOps concepts, and responsible AI/data governance principles
  • Proficiency using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) to support project work
  • Experience with clinical analytical solutions or platforms (e.g., clinical data management, clinical reporting or dashboards) within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare setting; industry experience in pharma/biotech/life sciences strongly preferred
  • Understanding of clinical data standards and systems (e.g., EDC, CTMS) and the regulatory landscape governing clinical analytics preferred
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and sound judgment under ambiguity
  • Vendor and budget management experience; experience with Spotfire, Maxis AI, Veeva, and BOX applications preferred
