About the Role:

Fine Fettle is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Data Analyst to join our Production Operations team. This role sits at the intersection of data, operations, commercial, and finance serving as a critical resource for our Production Operations department and cross-functional stakeholders. The Data Analyst will own production reporting, demand planning analytics, KPI dashboards, and financial reporting workflows, translating raw operational data into clear, actionable insights that drive decisions across the business and to the customer.

The ideal candidate brings experience in a regulated manufacturing or cultivation environment, thrives in fast-paced settings with evolving data needs, and understands the unique compliance and reporting requirements of the cannabis industry.

Primary Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:

This role encompasses the following key areas of responsibility, supporting the seamless execution and organization of Fine Fettle's Cannabis Production & Operations across the business. Key responsibilities include:

Production Reporting:

  • Build and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production reports tracking yield, throughput, batch performance, and waste
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Reconcile production actuals against targets and communicate variances to the production leadership
  • Support state/regulatory reporting requirements including state traceability data validation and audits

Demand Planning Reporting:

  • Partner with sales, inventory, and production teams to develop and maintain demand forecasting models
  • Monitor and report on SKU-level demand trends, seasonality patterns, and sell-through rates
  • Maintain rolling demand plans and flag supply-demand imbalances to enable proactive production scheduling
  • Produce weekly and monthly demand planning dashboards for leadership review

Metrics & KPI Reporting:

  • Design, build, and own operational KPI dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent)
  • Define and document metric definitions in collaboration with department heads to ensure consistency across reporting
  • Deliver recurring performance scorecards for production, quality, fulfillment, and compliance
  • Alert stakeholders to metric anomalies and support root cause investigation

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Assist with financial analysis, standard cost updates, and variance reporting
  • Support budget vs. actuals analysis for the production department in coordination with the Finance team
  • Develop financial models and ad hoc analyses to support capital and operational decisions
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for internal review by leadership

Chief of Staff Support:

  • Act as a data and analytical resource for the Chief of Staff, preparing materials for executive presentations, board updates, and operational reviews
  • Conduct ad hoc research and analysis to support strategic initiatives, vendor evaluations, or operational problem-solving
  • Help manage reporting calendars, ensuring all deliverables are accurate and delivered on schedule
  • Translate complex data findings into clear narratives and visualizations for non-technical audiences

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Finance, Statistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a data analyst, operations analyst, or similar role
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets
  • Experience with BI/visualization and AI tools.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data modeling
  • Demonstrated ability to build clear, audience-appropriate reports and dashboards
  • High attention to detail and comfort working with data integrity and reconciliation
  • Experience in cannabis, agriculture, CPG, pharmaceutical, or another regulated manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Familiarity with METRC, BioTrack, or other cannabis seed-to-sale traceability platforms is valuable
  • Exposure to ERP systems and data extraction from these environments
  • Experience supporting demand planning or supply chain analytics functions
  • Knowledge of Python or R for data processing and automation
  • Understanding of cannabis compliance frameworks, state licensing requirements, and operational restrictions is advantageous
  • Ability to pass a Federal Background Check with no felony convictions
