Investor Reporting And Analysis Lead

Join our dynamic Alternative Capital team as a Lead Analytics Professional, supporting AXA XL's innovative ILS transactions. This pivotal role offers the chance to shape our alternative capital platform, manage investor communications, drive analytics, and participate in the structuring and management of our alternative capital transactions, making a meaningful impact as AXA XL continues its journey to raise and manage private capital to support its growth ambition.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Portfolio Construction & Management: Lead aspects of portfolio construction and management, within the mandate guidelines ensuring strategic alignment and operational efficiency. Oversight over collateral investment managers to ensure compliance with investment guidelines and as appropriate make tactical asset allocation decisions.
  • Portfolio & Performance Analysis: Independently conduct portfolio analysis to proactively drive investor communications. Take ownership of ad-hoc analyses to address investor inquiries and other strategic needs. Develop and enhance frameworks for performance attribution, explaining drivers of transaction performance.
  • Investor Reporting & Analytics: Lead preparation and delivery of investor reports for large alternative capital transactions. Develop comprehensive portfolio and risk analyses to produce advanced analytics and collaborate closely with the Alternative Capital finance team on investor financial statements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with underwriters, actuaries, operations, and finance teams across AXA XL organization to gather data and deliver insightful analytics.
  • Thought Leadership: Provide expert insights on catastrophe and other modeling, including quantitative and qualitative assessments of vendor models versus proprietary risk views. Lead assessment, recommendation and usage of risk quantification models.
  • Transaction Support & Product Development: Support the structuring and execution of new ILS transactions, developing complex financial models to evaluate economics. Conduct due diligence for new investors and contribute to product innovation.
  • Platform Development & Data Management: End to end project management and co-ownership to develop, enhance and maintain alternative capital platform. Manage data workflows, resolve data and system issues, and coordinate across teams within AXA XL to ensure seamless data processing, reporting, and communication. Maintain and improve analytics systems for ongoing use.
  • Process Automation & Innovation: Drive automation initiatives, recommend AI-driven strategies, and implement innovative solutions to optimize processes and analytics capabilities.

What you will bring

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Sciences, Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees is a plus. Extensive experience in quantitative data analysis, with a foundation in mathematical concepts. Actuarial designation or progress toward one, or formal training / education in quantitative finance. Advanced proficiency in Excel, including macros, and programming experience in MATLAB, SQL, or similar languages. Ability to build complex financial models. Expertise in working with natural catastrophe vendor model outputs; implementation in a traditional reinsurer and ILS fund context is desirable. Innovative, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively. Entrepreneurial mindset with a growth-oriented approach and sense of accountability. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and across time zones. Capable of articulating complex investment concepts and insights clearly and concisely to both internal colleagues and Investors. Effective engages with internal stakeholders across various levels, including senior managements and Investors.

The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD $ 138,500-207,800 USD The England base salary range for this position is 89,500 GBP-123,000 GBP FP
