We CGI is seeking to hire an experienced Data Modeler to support enterprise data design initiatives for a healthcare client.
The consultant will translate business and technical requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models; develop source to target mappings; and profile data across enterprise platforms. Strong SQL and data warehousing expertise are essential, and healthcare or payer experience is strongly preferred.
This position is located on-site in Bloomfield, CT (Preferred), Lafayette, LA in a Hybrid working Model.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Design, document, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data initiatives.
. Develop and validate source to target mappings for data integration, migration, and transformation efforts.
. Profile source data to assess structure, completeness, consistency, and data quality issues.
. Write and optimize SQL for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and warehouse environments.
. Collaborate with data architects, engineers, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data designs.
. Maintain model documentation, definitions, and standards to support shared understanding and traceability.
. Contribute to enterprise data governance, design reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
At least 6-10 years of experience as a Data Modeler:
. Demonstrated experience in data modeling and database design, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
. Hands on experience developing and documenting source to target mappings.
. Hands on experience with Erwin Data Modeler.
. Strong data analysis and profiling skills, including the ability to identify and communicate data quality issues.
. Advanced SQL skills and practical experience working with data warehouse environments.
. Strong SQL and data warehousing expertise are essential, and healthcare or payer experience is strongly preferred
. Ability to translate business and technical requirements into clear, implementable data designs and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
. Healthcare or payer data experience.
. Hands on experience with Erwin Data Modeler.
. Familiarity with enterprise data governance practices, metadata, and modeling standards.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
