Description

Within the role of Program Analyst (Mid), you will support a highly visible Defense Aviation Joint Program Office (JPO), responsible for managing a major defense weapon system development. You will perform critical acquisition planning, management, and reporting to inform acquisition and contracting decisions that will ensure program success.
Hiring Timeframe:ย Upcoming
Work Location:ย ย This position is a hybrid roleย in Arlington, VA (2 days/week on site).ย Seventh Sense will support your commute by contributing over $1,500 annually to your Transportation FSA.ย ย 
Responsibilities:
ย 

  • Perform critical program management, technical, or business analysis in weapons systemย acquisition systems and life-cycle management
  • Participates as a member of and/or supports the overall PMO
  • Apply knowledge of the principles, policies, and practices of program management and systems acquisition to inform the planning, organization, and coordination of critical aspects of the development, production, deployment, and sustainment of aircraftย systems, subsystems, and equipment
  • Track and report program/project status to include cost, schedule, and performance
  • Perform EVM tracking and analysis

Required Qualifications:
ย 
  • Secret security clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • Educationย Requirement:
    • Bachelors' degree in Business Administration, or other related discipline
      • OR Associates Degree plus four (4) years of additional relevant work experience
  • Work Experience Requirements:ย 
    • Experience in program management, technical or business analysis discipline, in weapon systems acquisition and life cycle management
    • At least four (4) years out of sixย (6) of recent work experience related to analysis and planning
    • At least two (2) years in support of a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP)
    • Familiarity with Service and OSD forms related to PPBS, Military Interdepartmental Procurement Requests (MIPR), Work Requests, Requisitions, Data Item Descriptions (DID)ย Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL), and DD254 is required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or familiarity with the DoD 5000 (Operation of the Defense Acquisition System) series of policy and guidance, Federal and DoD acquisition regulations and the Defense Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)ย 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with DoD reporting tools and major reports
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Focus on customer service and responsiveness with sound customer handling skills
  • Secret security clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance


Preferred Qualifications:
ย 

  • Knowledge of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) for the development of contracts and contract modifications required for the acquisition of logistics supportability products.
  • Familiarity DoD Directive (DODD) 5530.03 (International Agreements), and the International Cooperation in Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (IC in AT&L) Handbook
  • 5thย Generation Fighter acquisition management experience
  • F-35 Lightning II program knowledge and expertise
