Partnerships with key surgeon consultants help provide advanced and proprietary patented solutions, including EMPOWR 3D Knee®, the only dual-pivot knee system on the market, and AltiVate Reverse® Shoulder, a market-leading system, based on the design principles of the RSP® Shoulder, which has demonstrated excellent clinical outcomes at 10 years.
Enovis Surgical offers surgeons and their patients a full range of primary and revision implants for hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow reconstructive joint surgeries, in addition to the tools and digital health technology needed in today's changing healthcare environment.
Job Title/High-Level Position Summary:
This role helps lead the global upstream product management for the hip portfolio. The Associate Director is responsible for defining market requirements, setting product strategies, and working cross-functionally to bring new products to market that drive growth, share, and competitive differentiation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Upstream marketing for the global hip portfolio including market assessment, segmentation, targeting, and positioning as well as pricing.
  • Define global market requirements and product roadmaps aligned to business strategy.
  • Stay close to the customers, surgeons, and competitors, to identify unmet needs and opportunities. Ability to discern inputs from multiple sources and recommend appropriate portfolio strategy aligned with the BU strategy
  • Translating broader business goals into clear, actionable product plans
  • Partner closely with R&D, clinical, regulatory, operations, and downstream teams to move programs from concept through development and launch.
  • Build and defend business cases for new products, including pricing, investment needs, and expected returns.
  • Support global product launches, including positioning, messaging, pricing, collateral development, and field readiness.
  • Monitor product performance and market dynamics; adjust strategy as needed to improve outcomes.
  • Act as a key product resource for the field in supporting customer conversations, education, labs, and industry meetings.
  • Work with regional teams to ensure global strategy translates effectively into local execution.
  • Contribute to broader team priorities, processes, and strategic initiatives that impact the business.

Leadership and Team Management:
  • May lead a team of employees (1-2) assigned to this function. Hires, trains, develops and retains a talented team
  • Set clear priorities and drive execution across a cross-functional, global team.
  • Build strong working relationships across functions and regions to keep teams aligned and moving forward.
  • Direct influence on pipeline, portfolio performance, and global growth strategy.
  • Supports the Surgical business > $475 million; Staff size (approx. 1-3 direct reports)

Minimum Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Program Management or Marketing is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience product management experience (upstream) within the medical device industry is highly preferred
  • Sales experience, downstream marketing, marketing communication experience is a plus
  • At least two more years of employee management experience
  • Proven track record of developing Marketing team members, if applicable

Travel Requirements:.
  • Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time; domestic
  • Typical work related travel assignments range 1-3 days, and as such overnight, out-of-town stays are required.
