Position Overview:
The Program Director reports to the Executive Director and oversees all duties related to running the Reintegration program and the 24 unit apartment complex. The PD cultivates a strong partnership with the Executive Director and Property Manager/Intake Director to create and maintain a consistent, stable and safe environment towards growth and independence in alignment with Refuge for Women's mission, vision and values.
Your team contribution:
The Program Director is a member of the Reintegration Care Team. This position often serves in the role of coordinator of all the services provided by each individual member of the team. In addition, the PD works one-on-one with residents to help them each achieve success and independence.
You'll be successful if:
You have the ability to switch between "big picture" coordination of services and caring individually for the residents we serve. The buck will often stop with you and it will be your responsibility to make sure that goals for the residents and the team are being met. You won't work alone in this task as you have an entire Care Team. However, you'll need to be able to coordinate the work of everyone to achieve a common goal.
Program Administration:
  • Set up and maintain administrative systems necessary to support effective program operations in coordination with Property Manager/Intake Director.

Program Support for the Reintegration Program
  • Uphold Refuge for Women culture, program requirements, rules and standards of conduct per resident guidelines
  • Create and maintain case notes on each interaction with residents within 24 hours, including weekly meetings
  • Create progress reports at indicated intervals - 30, 60, 90 days and then every 90 days following
  • Working with the Case Manager, assist and empower residents to be proactive in their overall well-being with reminders to make appointments for medical, psychological, dental, prescription pick-ups, etc.
  • Assist each resident with creating an individualized transitional case management plan (ITCMP) including short term and long term goals; this may include case manager as well
  • Meet weekly with each RIP participant about progress through their ITCMP and goals
  • Hold a weekly house meeting with all residents

Other Responsibilities
  • Maintain positive, functional relationships with community, government and referral agencies
  • Represent Kentucky bi-weekly on the Reintegration Director Call
  • Meet regularly with the Executive Director
  • Attend meetings, trainings, events, task force meetings as requested by the Executive Director

Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including proficiency in MS Office and Google applications
  • Ability to adapt to frequently changing priorities and handle crisis situations
  • Office or admin experience
  • Strong servant leadership and teamwork skills, teachable, self-motivated, organized
  • Loving but firm temperament, willing to take initiative in stressful situations
  • Maintain strong leadership in any situation, including conflict resolution, crisis response, difficult relational dynamics
  • Effective communication and accountability with residents as they progress through their transitional plan
  • Proficiency with emergency or crisis procedures
  • Knowledge about addict behaviors and trauma is very helpful
  • Familiarity with 12-step or similar healing and recovery program (e.g. Celebrate Recovery)
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle safely and confidently at all times of day or night
