About the role
Bridger has established strong competitive advantages with our Gas Mapping LiDAR™ technology and we are seeking an outstanding Business Development Director to help continue our growth. The successful candidate will report to the CEO and work closely with our Operations and Accounts Manager to coordinate, organize, and guide our Business Development activities. The successful candidate will contribute effectively to business development, including new business opportunities, marketing, sales, regulations, and certifications, all based on a scientific/mathematical/statistical background and approach.
What you'll do
  • Heavily leverage independent problem solving, research, data processing and analysis, writing/editing, presentation, and synthesis skills to guide Company decision making and growth in:
    • Marketing and Sales
    • Regulations
    • Certifications
    • Business Improvement
    • New Business Development
  • Become sufficiently familiar with Bridger's technology and market drivers to coordinate and/or guide competent, accurate, and honest presentations, marketing material, client relationships, customer journeys, and bids/proposals.
  • Deliver effective presentations, effectively field questions, and effectively edit/write content on Gas Mapping LiDAR™ technology and related topics, based on sufficiently learned technology knowledge.
  • Coordinate, assemble, and analyze Company sales and marketing data to assess performance and develop projections.
  • Review and/or develop content for public release to promote Company credibility and trust in the oil and gas industry.
  • Research, write and/or oversee effective proposals and bids for new business.
  • Research, learn, and keep up to date on industry activity, regulatory policy/initiatives, and certifications to inform strategy.
  • Oversee and continually improve the bid process including cost estimation and pricing for clients, based on analysis of historical data and projections.
  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize business development efforts.
  • Design, coordinate, and/or implement business development process improvements.
  • Assist with navigating the methane regulatory landscape as it applies to sales and marketing.
  • Monitor, analyze, and gain feedback from customers' usages of our product.
  • Represent Bridger at trade shows when needed.
  • Perform market research activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with independent initiative execution and problem solving
  • Outstanding ability to independently gather, analyze, and synthesize data (e.g. statistical) to inform decisions making
  • Outstanding and compelling proposal-writing and oral presentation skills
  • Outstanding research and data synthesis skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn quickly and work hard and efficiently in fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel when necessary
  • Ability to work cohesively with a team of scientists, engineers, executives, and business support staff

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling technology, data, analytics, software, professional services, or field services to enterprise customers.
  • Experience in oil and gas, energy, environmental services, methane management, or emissions monitoring.
  • Familiarity with upstream, midstream, transmission, or distribution operations and emissions-management workflows.
  • Experience with strategic-account planning, pilots or proof-of-value engagements, and structured sales methodologies.
