Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. The Director Clinical Pharmacy is responsible for leading the development, implementation, oversight, and evaluation of clinical pharmacy strategies, clinical interventions, pharmacy trend reporting, and client implementation initiatives across all customer business segments. Provides strategic leadership for Pharmacy Trend Oversight & Reporting, Clinical Program Maintenance, and Pharmacy Mandate Execution & Client Implementation to ensure alignment with enterprise priorities, clinical quality, and cost of care objectives.

How you will make an impact:

  • Provides strategic leadership and direction for the Pharmacy Trend Oversight & Reporting, Clinical Program Maintenance, and Pharmacy Mandate Execution & Client Implementation functions.

  • Establishes and executes clinical intervention and pharmacy strategy programs.

  • Evaluates, maintains, and implements clinical programs.

  • Oversees pharmacy trend analysis, reporting, and performance insights to support business and clinical decision-making.

  • Provides leadership for client implementation of pharmacy mandates, drug list updates and clinical program changes while partnering with operational and client-facing teams to ensure successful execution.

  • Supports enterprise accreditation processes.

  • Collaborates with Care Management and other cross-functional partners to improve medication compliance, clinical outcomes, and reduce avoidable healthcare utilization.

  • Provides Request for Proposal (RFP) support and contributes to business growth and client retention.

  • Manages departmental budget and supports clinical product growth and operational efficiency.

  • Hires, develops, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports and team leads while fostering collaboration across multiple functional areas.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a PharmD, RPh or MPh and minimum of 5 years of managed care experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Current unrestricted Pharmacist license in applicable state(s) required.

  • Requires BS in Pharmacy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading cross-functional pharmacy strategy, reporting, and implementation teams.

  • Experience with pharmacy trend analytics, clinical program governance, and performance reporting.

  • Experience leading pharmacy client implementations, formulary or mandate execution, and operational readiness activities.

  • Demonstrated success leading organizational change and developing high-performing pharmacy teams.

  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $155,440.00 to $279,792.00.

Location(s):Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Columbus, OH.
