ABOUT THE JOB
The ACLU seeks applicants for the full-time position of Associate, Digital Marketing & Production in the Development Department of the ACLU's National office in New York, NY. This is a hybrid role that has in-office requirements of two (2) days per week or eight (8) days per month.
This is a 3-year term-limited position.

This position is part of a collective bargaining unit. It is represented by ACLU Staff United (ASU).
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Reporting to the Deputy Director, Donor Development the Associate, Digital Marketing & Production will be responsible for the execution of digital campaigns, including email and peer-to-peer text messaging for the ACLU's Nationwide Membership Marketing program. The associate will work closely with both external partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring schedules are kept and don't overlap with other teams' sends. The Associate produces digital campaigns, develops campaign templates, landing pages, and dedicated URLs, and ensures testing direction from strategy memos is reflected in campaign setup. Data literacy, project management experience, strong attention to detail and comfort collaborating with diverse teams are essential for success in this position.
YOUR DAY TO DAY
  • Monitor, respond to, and complete production requests as assigned
  • Produce and test online forms, donation forms, and other landing pages
  • Contribute to the maintenance of documentation of team processes and workflows for production
  • Work cross-departmentally as well as with external partners to produce digital campaigns
  • Coordinate with external vendors to daily send reports across our email and SMS programs and overall campaign wrap up reports
  • Support weekend email and text campaigns; This includes off-hours work, as needed, for live coverage of high-priority events or rapid response moments
  • Code, test, QA and edit emails, texts, and landing pages to ensure quality
  • Execute audience selects and tests ensuring the quality and accuracy of data with audience stakeholders
  • Project management: trafficking copy, creation and management of schedules, and external vendor management
  • Identify and escalate digital data hygiene issues, and help define solutions with data team as needed and appropriate
  • Engage in special projects and other duties as assigned

  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Proficiency with HTML and/or CSS
  • Experience producing email and text campaigns
  • Understanding of digital/email marketing techniques and mobile optimization
  • Experience with Drupal, Springboard, Salesforce, BBCRM and Sailthru, preferred
  • Experience working with external vendors and partners, preferred
  • Experience with fundraising and direct marketing campaigns, preferred
  • Experience working at complex national or international nonprofits, preferred
COMPENSATION
The ACLU is committed to equity, transparency, and clarity in pay. Consistent with our compensation philosophy, there is a set salary for each role based on geographic work location. The annual salary for this position is $89,020.00 (Level J), reflecting the salary of a position based in New York, NY. Salaries are subject to a regional pay adjustment if authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
