Job description

Job Description

Working in the VPS  R&D organization under general supervision, will assist in the design and development of state of the art DC/DC converter and/or AC/DC system products using proprietary technology. Design elements include electrical design, component selection, simulation/test, PCB layout, and product functional specification. Will be part of an engineering team that is involved with complete product development cycle: product conception through manufacturing production. Assists in the generation of the full documentation package for all products designed. Will also interface with and provide routine support to internal organizations and external customers.  

Education / Qualifications

   BSEE with 0 - 2 years of power electronics design experience
   Previous CO-OP or Internship experience- highly desired
   Knowledge of high frequency switching power supply topologies, and control architectures a plus
   Strong bench skills
   Demonstrated analytical skills
   Ability to be self-motivated and detail oriented
   Excellent team and individual contributor skills
   Good organizational skills
   Strong written and verbal communication skills
   Ability to learn quickly and understand technical materials and concepts

Compensation Data

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000
