Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Planner 3 for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
  • 5+ years manufacturing planning experience
  • Experience with GOLD

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The GFE Production Engineering team is hiring an Experienced Manufacturing Planner to support the technical statement of work in San Antonio, TX.
  • Plans and leads department/organization processes for developing, implementing and maintaining various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
  • Develops and plans manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.
  • Prepares build analyses and cost estimate reports.
  • Leads integration of complex suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
  • Participates in source selection to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
  • Develops complex tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
  • Manages tooling from initial design to end of use disposition.
  • Leads investigation and resolution of complex or systemic manufacturing related issues.
  • Leads teams performing producibility assessments of design concepts.
  • Leads development of complex work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
  • Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Reviews and implements non-conformance requirements into shop floor work orders and supplier specifications.
  • Translates design requirements Electronic Bill of Materials (EBOM) into Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) to create and maintain part demand within the program production system.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
  • Previous client experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Work in a factory environment and able to withstand those conditions (walking, going up and down steps and scaffolding)

REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

WORK HOURS
  • 4x10 (A shift: Sun-Wed, B shift: Wed-Sat), 2nd shift
  • Regular and predictable attendance is a requirement of this request

  • Candidate must hold an active secret clearance.
