In addition to competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, we are committed to providing a safe and inclusive work environment that appreciates all dimensions of diversity, promotes personal and professional development opportunities and allows our associates to be their authentic selves.

Position Summary

The Senior Supply Planning Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end supply planning process to ensure product availability for core business operations, innovation projects, seasonal initiatives, and marketing launch plans while optimizing inventory levels, manufacturing capacity utilization, working capital, and customer service performance.

This role drives cross-functional alignment among Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Commercial, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams across both the United States and Mexico to develop and execute supply strategies that support business growth and customer service objectives.

Given that approximately 50% of Barcel USA's supply network is sourced from Mexico, the role requires strong cross-border collaboration, deep understanding of Barcel Mexico operations, and the ability to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders in both English and Spanish. The position serves as a critical bridge between Barcel USA commercial priorities and Barcel Mexico manufacturing capabilities, ensuring alignment of supply strategies, production plans, inventory targets, and service commitments.

The position requires exceptional analytical capabilities, leadership skills, strategic thinking, and expertise in integrated business planning to balance demand, supply, inventory, and operational constraints across a complex and rapidly growing product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Cross-Border Supply Network Management

  • Lead supply planning activities across the USA and Mexico manufacturing network, ensuring alignment between demand requirements and production capabilities.
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination between Barcel USA and Barcel Mexico planning, operations, procurement, and manufacturing teams.
  • Ensure effective communication of business priorities, promotional plans, innovation projects, and customer commitments across countries.
  • Partner with Mexican manufacturing facilities to align capacity, production schedules, inventory deployment, and contingency plans.
  • Drive resolution of cross-border supply issues, including capacity constraints, transportation challenges, inventory imbalances, and service risks.
  • Work closely with Mexican stakeholders to understand local operational constraints, planning assumptions, and business priorities.
  • Leverage knowledge of Barcel Mexico operating processes, planning systems, governance models, and commercial frameworks to improve cross-functional decision making.
  • Support the optimization of the North American supply network, balancing cost, service, inventory, and capacity considerations.

Supply Planning & Inventory Management

  • Develop inventory deployment strategies across the U.S. distribution network while coordinating replenishment plans with Mexican manufacturing facilities.
  • Manage inventory positioning and safety stock policies considering cross-border lead times, customs requirements, transportation variability, and manufacturing constraints.

Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

  • Represent Supply Planning during executive S&OP and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) discussions involving both U.S. and Mexico leadership teams.
  • Facilitate alignment between Barcel USA commercial priorities and Barcel Mexico manufacturing and supply capabilities.
  • Escalate and drive decision-making on demand-supply gaps requiring executive trade-off decisions across markets and manufacturing locations.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships across Commercial, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, Logistics, Marketing, and Customer Service teams.
  • Collaborate extensively with Barcel Mexico planning, operations, procurement, and manufacturing organizations to ensure seamless execution of supply plans.
  • Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Influence decision-making without direct authority in a highly matrixed, multinational organization.
  • Lead executive discussions related to demand-supply balancing, inventory strategy, service risks, and network optimization initiatives.

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement best practices from Barcel Mexico and Barcel USA operations to improve planning effectiveness and supply chain performance.
  • Lead cross-border process harmonization initiatives that enhance visibility, responsiveness, and supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing complex supply chains involving cross-border manufacturing and distribution networks.
  • Demonstrated success working with teams across Mexico and the United States.
  • Experience leading executive-level discussions involving supply constraints, production prioritization, and business trade-off decisions.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing environments and commercial operations in both the U.S. and Mexico markets.

Technical & Business Knowledge

  • Advanced knowledge of Supply Planning, S&OP/IBP, Inventory Optimization, and Capacity Planning.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chain processes.
  • Understanding cross-border logistics, importation processes, lead-time management, and supply risk mitigation.
  • Knowledge of Barcel Mexico planning processes, manufacturing network structure, and operating model.
  • Understanding of the Mexican commercial framework and its impact on demand patterns, customer promotions, service expectations, and supply planning decisions.

Language Requirements

  • Fluent English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • Ability to lead business discussions, executive presentations, negotiations, and operational reviews in both languages.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across multicultural teams in Mexico and the United States.

Additional Competencies:
