Job description

As a Data Scientist Sr. Associate within the Consumer Bank Marketing Analytics team, you will develop and execute analytical plans to understand drivers of deposit portfolio growth, from account opening to attrition. Your insights will be crucial in guiding strategic decisions and investments, impacting the broader organization.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead analytics strategy and execution for Consumer Bank new account performance reporting

  • Interpret results and present findings to stakeholders and senior management, including the CMO.

  • Conduct unstructured, ad hoc analyses of customer behavior and engagement

  • Execute A/B and incrementality test readouts, including interpretation and recommendations

  • Translate results into clear narratives and present insights to stakeholders and senior management

  • Contribute to innovation initiatives that advance analytics methods and scalability

  • Maintain a rigorous controls environment to ensure accurate, timely, and reproducible results
    Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science/Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related field)

  • 3+ years of experience applying statistical methods to real-world business problems

  • 3+ years of experience using SQL and at least one of the following: SAS, Python, or R

  • Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) to accelerate analysis and code development

  • Experience using data visualization techniques for analysis and stakeholder-ready storytelling

  • Hands-on experience with A/B and incrementality testing methodologies, including experimental design, significance evaluation, and translating results into business recommendations

  • Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe/Omniture Insight/Visual Sciences, Webtrends, CoreMetrics, etc.)

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with experience communicating effectively across levels and partner groups

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science/Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related field)

  • Intellectual curiosity and motivation to build deep subject matter expertise in a focus area

  • Strategic thinking with an ability to stay anchored to measurable business goals

  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple workstreams effectively

  • Strong relationship-building skills and comfort partnering with key stakeholders

  • Tableau preferred.
