The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a full-time Research Manger to oversee and guide research that leads to work products within the University of Cincinnati’s agenda. This position will assist the head of the program in shaping the overall research agenda and approach, while assisting a team of research professionals with the dissemination of research and related data.
- Develop a research agenda using appropriate analytical approaches, models, and methods; translate research results into timely and relevant policy recommendations.
- Coordinate and assist in the development of external funding proposals.
- Manage, oversee, plan, and conduct research; manage daily activities, including project development, data collection and data analysis.
- Assist with the dissemination of research findings and maintain systems for tracking project-related presentations, publications, and other outputs.
- Write and publish white papers, conference reports, opinion articles, blogs and policy briefs.
- Ensure adherence to institutional, federal, and sponsor-specific guidelines concerning human subjects and research integrity.
- Organize research documentation, coordinate meetings, and facilitate communication among research teams.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at anytime.
- Bachelor’s Degree in biological sciences or related field.
- Four (4) years of experience in an academic, government, or private-sector research, staff, and/or administrative position.
- A Master or Ph.D. degree in chemistry or neuroscience and experience in managing clinical trials and/or drug development.
- Experience in preparation, submission, and managing IRB protocols, amendments, and reports to ensure ongoing compliance with ethical standards.
- Training and experience in designing and managing data collection tools in Redcap, ensuring accuracy, security, and proper documentation of research data.
- Training and experience in extracting and analyzing data from a variety of sources; support statistical and qualitative analysis; interpret research findings.
