Irvine, CA - Automation Sales Associate - Highly Regarded, Large Mechanical Firm
POSITION:
  • Automation Sales Associate (Controls Sales Engineer/Inside Sales)
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • 50-60% - Bid Coordinating
    • Collect various bids through the bid-intake email portal
    • Review plans/blueprints & layouts and identify BAS controls opportunities
    • Qualify bids/leads and deliver the bids to the project development and estimating team
    • Log data and activities ; track bid progress
  • 25% - Project Visits for Automation QC (Quality Control)
    • Perform job-walks at client-sites where work has already been completed post 30 days
    • Review graphics and programming of finished systems
    • Customer-facing / interact with customers and survey their thoughts on the completed project
  • 10-15% - Preventative Maintenance Renewal Follow-Up
    • Reach out to controls customers who have are close to their renewal of their controls maintenance service agreement
    • Evaluate their renewal and survey thoughts of the service
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist/Support an Outside Sales Engineer / Account Manager for project work withing Orange County, Los Angeles, and Inland Empire
  • Review / Track Submittals
  • Generate RFIs (Request for Information)
  • Communicate with Customers
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Previous experience as either a Controls Technician or a Project Engineer who is interested in moving into Sales
  • Traits: organized; driven; possesses a competitive spirit
