DAVEY RESOURCE GROUP, Inc., has openings throughout South Bend, Indianapolis, and the Great Lakes region for experienced environmental consulting professionals. We are seeking teamwork-oriented individuals with excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidates should possess a professional work ethic with attention to detail and safety.
Position Description and Responsibilities
Selected candidates will work collaboratively with Davey Resource Group project developers, biologists, and project managers on a variety of ecological restoration projects. The position involves preparing and supervising client proposals, technical report writing, and plan development for ecological restoration of upland, wetland and stream environments. Additional experience in environmental planning, permitting, monitoring, construction, wetland delineation and section 401/404 permitting is also a plus.
The primary focus of this position is to not only provide senior level project management and expertise, but also perform a key role in the development of new projects, grant writing, networking and identifying new client relationships and project opportunities. This may include attending conferences/workshops and public speaking.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of a four-year degree in biology, ecology, conservation, environmental science, or related fields.
  • At least eight years of experience working in the natural resources field performing ecological consulting work.
  • Proficient with state laws and environmental regulations.
  • Valid driver's license and have a good driving record
  • Desired credentials include PWS, ESA Certified Ecologist, and/or CPESC.

We are seeking teamwork-oriented individuals with excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as a professional work ethic with attention to detail and safety.
The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency with stream/wetlands restoration design work, including modeling and plan development; have experience performing construction oversight of restoration projects; be capable of managing large projects with multiple subcontractors; and maintain an existing network of clients and contacts within the ecological consulting industry.
