Vice President of Business Development - Drive Impact, Build Partnerships, Lead Growth!

As VP of Business Development, you'll be the cornerstone of our efforts to build meaningful, long-term relationships with employer-sponsored health plans, benefit consultants, and key strategic partners. Your consultative approach will be at the heart of our success, as you work closely with prospective clients to understand their needs and position True Rx as the trusted solution. With your leadership and expertise, you will mentor a team of driven business development professionals while crafting and executing strategies that shape the future of healthcare benefits.
This position is 100% work remote with expectations of in-office as needed for meetings and trainings.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead New Business Development: Spearhead strategic initiatives to close new business in your designated territory. Your expertise will be the driving force behind the acquisition of high-value clients.
  • Mentor and Inspire: Lead and coach fellow team members, elevating their performance and ensuring they have the tools to succeed.
  • Deliver Winning Presentations: Create and deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients, consultants, and partners, positioning True Rx as the go-to partner for employer-sponsored health plans.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with the management team to align on sales strategies and marketing initiatives. Act as a liaison between business development and operations, ensuring smooth client transitions and continued relationship building.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with HR professionals, consultants, and key stakeholders within client organizations.
  • Travel & Networking: Frequent travel to build relationships and attend industry events, networking with decision-makers, and keeping a finger on the pulse of the market.
  • Ownership & Accountability: Take full responsibility for your success, managing time, territory, and sales activities to maximize impact.

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience: 4-10 years of proven success in business development, sales, or a related field. Experience in the healthcare or insurance space is a plus!
  • Strong Sales & Relationship Skills: Expertise in building relationships with employers, consultants, and key partners. A consultative sales approach is essential.
  • Leadership: Experience leading or mentoring a team, with a track record of empowering others to succeed.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Flexibility & Travel: Ability to travel frequently, with short trips required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
