Job description

Job Summary: Responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining electrical and automation design drawings using modern CAD platforms. Works collaboratively with engineers, designers, and technicians to produce accurate, standards-compliant documentation that supports manufacturing, installation, and customer deliverables. This role is evolving to support digital design integration, data consistency, and automation-driven workflows.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create and modify electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical
  2. Maintain drawing accuracy, revision control, and adherence to standards
  3. Collaborate with engineers and technicians for design clarity
  4. Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement
  5. Support standardized templates and design automation tools
  6. Assist with panel shop assembly and field verification
  7. Improve workflows through automation and process optimization
  8. Maintain organized documentation and version control
  9. Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar software
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
