Job Description:

Accenture Federal Services is seeking an experienced and technically proficient Senior Cloud Engineer focused on enabling teams and provisioning secure, scalable cloud services. Will be responsible for optimizing system performance, implementing robust security controls, and ensuring operational reliability across distributed cloud environments. As a member of a multi-cloud configuration team, the selected individual will be required to be part of an Agile scrum team and be knowledgeable in numerous development tools and technologies. You will collaborate with application teams, SRE/DevOps, security, and networking to deliver resilient workloads and accelerate delivery through CI/CD. Work you'll do:

  • Analyze the technical needs of an organization and propose suitable cloud solutions.
  • Collaborate with development teams to create and implement cloud solutions that meet business goals.
  • Implement least-privilege IAM, role-based access, and just-in-time elevation for admin actions.
  • Build and maintain IaC modules (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation) for standardized provisioning of VPC/VNet, subnets, gateways, compute, storage, managed databases, messaging, and IAM roles.
  • Implement service enablement patterns that accelerate team onboarding.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging cloud technologies.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years in cloud engineering or similar role.
  • 5 + years of experience in the following areas:
    • Proficiency in at least one major cloud (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP) with strong understanding of core services (compute, storage, networking, identity).
    • Experience with service catalogs (AWS Service Catalog, Azure Blueprints/Policy + DevOps Templates, GCP Catalog) and account/subscription vending.
    • Experience with Policy as Code (OPA/Gatekeeper/Conftest), pre-commit hooks, and compliance automation.
    • Experience with Serverless (Lambda, Azure Functions, and/or Cloud Functions) and event-driven architectures.
    • Exposure to data services (RDS/SQL MI/Cloud SQL, Redis/Cache, messaging/queues like SQS/Service Bus/Pub/Sub, streaming like Kafka/Kinesis/Event Hubs).
    • Knowledge of CNAPP/CSPM and/or cloud-native security tools (Defender for Cloud, Security Command Center, and/or AWS Security Hub/GuardDuty).

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience working on an Agile team.
  • Experience supporting the Open-Source Network.
  • Azure: AZ 104 (Administrator), AZ 305 (Architect), AZ 400 (DevOps)
  • AWS: Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional), SysOps Administrator, Developer Associate
  • GCP: Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect/DevOps Engineer
  • Kubernetes: CKA/CKAD

Security clearance:

  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance minimum, and must be willing to be immediately upgraded to TS/SCI with Poly
