Job description

Mayfield Brain & Spine is seeking an on-site Senior Accountant to join our Finance team and support the accounting operations of Mayfield Clinic, Inc. and its affiliated entities. This role will oversee key accounting functions, including financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting support, and financial analysis, while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information.

Primary Responsibilities:
Perform accounting and finance functions for Mayfield Clinic, Inc and all affiliated entities.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Help develop and maintain a corporate culture that supports the mission and values of Mayfield Clinic.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly statistical analyses for Mayfield Clinic, Inc.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for cash, patient income, and refunds for Mayfield Clinic, Inc. and affiliated entities.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and notes payable, among others.
  • Prepare monthly MERF contribution reconciliations between the financial and contributions records.
  • Maintain and update the miscellaneous accounts receivable invoice tracking file.
  • Assist with quarterly compensation calculations and year-end closing tasks.
  • Assist with preparation of the annual forecast and operating & capital budgets.
  • Assist with completion of tax return schedules and other supplemental information for the tax accountants preparing the tax returns for Mayfield Clinic, Inc. and affiliated entities.
  • Review and approve payables.
  • Prepare special financial projects and financial & statistical analyses, as needed.
  • Assist with information requirements for the outside auditors.
  • Maintain fixed asset accounting and sub-ledger.
  • Review daily online banking activity and assist as needed.
  • Assist other Finance associates, as needed
  • Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned.
