Job description

Virginia Wesleyan University, a NCAA Division III institution and a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, is accepting applications for a Part-time Assistant Men's and Women's Golf Coach. Virginia Wesleyan is located in Virginia Beach, VA, and sponsors 24 varsity sports teams, supporting almost 500 student-athletes.

The qualified applicant will report to the Director of Golf. The individual will assist with all aspects of the men's and women's program including managing and coaching tournaments, conducting course reviews, assisting with course management at practice rounds and planning as well as conducting practices. This individual will assist with team travel, equipment and resource maintenance, fundraising and other administrative duties assigned by the Director of Golf or Director of Athletics. Additionally, a thorough understanding of and accountability to NCAA, Old Dominion Athletic Conference and institutional rules and regulations is necessary.

Review of applications will begin immediately. This is a part-time position. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with coaching experience and/or experience as a college golfer. An individual who has knowledge of the golf swing and its mechanics is preferred.  Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by the college's auto insurance carrier.
