Job description

JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Assistant is directly responsible for a wide range of maintenance duties including shop and yard maintenance, assisting the mechanic with basic repairs, delivery of parts and helping with any job task that is needed. This position requires a valid driver's license to perform the essential job duties and requires a commitment to understanding and exhibiting Titan's Mission and Core Values, following safety rules, federal and state laws and regulations as well as representing the company in a professional, courteous manner at all times.
Role and Responsibilities
  • Perform upkeep and maintenance duties such as cleaning shop, washing equipment, picking up tools, sweeping floors, mopping floors, emptying trash cans and other housekeeping tasks.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine and preventative maintenance.
  • Pick up and deliver parts from suppliers to designated locations.
  • Fuel trucks, wash trucks and equipment; Run parts as directed.
  • Clean shop and yard as instructed, ensuring yard and shop spaces are clean and organized.
  • Perform routine checks as directed by Mechanic or Fleet Manager.
  • Clean windows and lights; Replace burned out lights in rooms and exit lights.
  • Assist with yard maintenance such as snow removal, trash cleanup, mowing and weed pulling.
  • Promote safety awareness in the shop.
  • Follow company and OSHA quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion and passing of company drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to lift or stand for long periods of time and must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to work with hand tools, precision and other equipment.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • CDL preferred
