Senior Webmaster / Lead Web Developer
Location: Fort Lee, VA
Clearance: Active Secret (Required)
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Join a mission-driven team supporting CASCOM G-6 by leading the design, development, and management of enterprise web platforms, SharePoint environments, and digital content. This role ensures secure, accessible, and mission-aligned web services that support internal operations and external communication.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and management of web applications, websites, and web-based services using HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, VBScript, and CSS
  • Develop and maintain dynamic and static web interfaces, ensuring usability, performance, and compliance with DoD/Army standards
  • Design, develop, and support web content, including blogs, RSS/news feeds, audio/video, and social media integrations using associated APIs
  • Create and administer Microsoft SharePoint sites, including page development, permissions, workflows, content updates, and maintenance
  • Collaborate with business owners, content providers, and leadership to develop, review, and publish web content
  • Provide design guidance and recommendations on layout, aesthetics, and implementation of modern web technologies
  • Perform website reviews and audits to ensure content is accurate, relevant, timely, and compliant with policy and regulations
  • Maintain, administer, and enhance websites and web-based services, including upgrades and performance improvements
  • Design and implement compliant links and integrations with other DoD and Army web platforms
  • Analyze and assess emerging technologies to determine applicability to existing web environments and recommend improvements
  • Identify and implement website upgrades, redesigns, and migration strategies
  • Provide graphic design support, including branding, logos, and web graphics for publication
  • Develop and integrate multimedia content, including video, motion graphics, and animations
  • Conduct web analytics reviews (traffic, usage, trends) to support decision-making and improve content strategy
  • Coordinate with G-6 leadership to support strategic web planning, campaigns, and content management initiatives
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for webmaster tools and provide guidance to distributed web support teams
  • Ensure all web content complies with Section 508 accessibility standards and DoD EIT requirements
  • Support external official presences (EOPs) and social media initiatives in coordination with stakeholders
  • Assist Information Assurance personnel with data collection and reporting requirements for web systems
  • Review and verify all published content to ensure compliance with government release and security standards

Required Experience
  • Experience in web development and webmaster support as follows: Perform the graphical design, site planning and layout of web applications, websites, and web related services and technology utilizing dynamic and static web interfaces using HTML, DHTML, VB Script, Java Scripts, and Cascading Style Sheets.
  • Experience Designing, developing, and supporting web content with Blogs, RSS/News feeds, audio and video, and social networking services and their associated APIs.
  • Creating SharePoint pages and content utilizing basic web parts, administering permissions and groups, updating information, creating workflows, and basic maintenance procedures.
  • Knowledge of performing reviews and audit actions for websites and online content for relevant and timely information, compliance with regulations and policy.
  • Solid oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to analyze and assess existing and emerging technologies to determine relevance to existing web environments.
  • Ability to communicate technical information with the G- 6 Webmasters, Graphics Artists, customers, and Government staff in order to define requirements.
  • Perform duties as a lead Web Developer, working with G-6 Government webmaster and Branch Chief to determine additional opportunities to manage web content, obtain information of near-term and forecasted changes to the Government's webgraphicimagevideo management path to guide contract performance and execution.
  • Familiarized with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) Accessibility Standards

Education / Certifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study, or five (5) years Webmaster experience.
  • Security+ (IAT II) required
