Salary: $25/hour

(This is a fixed hourly wage rate. No wage range exists).

Job Summary

We are seeking a Renaissance Loss Prevention Officer to create a safe environment for guests and staff members. The successful Loss Prevention Officer ensures safety practices of employees and guests throughout the hotel, and of course, they are relationship builders, as they handle emergent situations in a calm, de-escalating manner, and assist with guest requests while applying customer service. This position reports to the Loss Prevention Manager, and the primary responsibilities are listed below, to include and are not limited to the following:

Job Duties
  • Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access
  • Monitor security feeds and conduct daily physical hazard inspections
  • Calmly respond to incidents and accidents and assist guests/employees during emergency situations
  • Defuse guest disturbances and escort individuals from the property if necessary
  • Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and facilitate interviews with relevant parties
  • Accurately complete required shift reports and maintain confidentiality of all loss prevention documents
  • Receive and facilitate deliveries of incoming and outgoing packages
  • Gather, log and assist with shipping of Lost and Found items from the hotel property
  • Valet Park guest vehicles
  • Support other hotel departments as-needed with logistics tasks such as: Food delivery, Amenities delivery and other tasks as assigned
  • All other duties assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have Weekend availability
  • Previous security experience in a hotel or similar environment and/or formal training in Loss Prevention/Security, and 2+ years in a position working with the general public
  • Must be able to write, type, and verbally communicate clearly and proficiently in English, and while utilizing phone and computer systems
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to de-escalate dynamic situations
  • Ability to perform job duties while demonstrating customer service skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Valid WA State driver's license - On occasion, this position may be required to park guest vehicles. Must obtain a driver abstract after contingent offer
