The Opportunity

We're looking for a Medical Assistant Training Coach who is passionate about teaching, coaching, and developing others. In this role, you'll partner with Learning and Operations teams to deliver hands-on, competency-based training that prepares Medical Assistants to confidently and consistently deliver high-quality patient care.

This role is ideal for an experienced Medical Assistant who enjoys mentoring, traveling within a market, and playing a meaningful role in onboarding and upskilling clinical team members.

What You'll DoTraining & Coaching
  • Deliver hands-on, practical skills training using approved competency-based methods
  • Assess and validate Medical Assistant competencies for new hires, transfers, and team members needing additional support
  • Conduct center and department onboarding and orientation
  • Facilitate workshops and serve as backup for classroom-based training as needed
  • Complete training documentation and competency assessments using approved digital tools
  • Conduct 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins to support learner confidence and readiness
  • Collaborate closely with Training Specialists and Learning Leaders to continuously improve training programs
Clinical & Operational Support
  • Travel within the assigned market to support centers and new hires
  • Work operational shifts when training activities are not scheduled
  • Support providers, radiologic technologists, and patients through clinical and administrative duties
  • Perform patient intake, vitals, point-of-care testing, and exam room preparation
  • Assist with patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and follow-up calls
  • Maintain supplies, inventory, equipment logs, and quality control documentation
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Training, coaching, or teaching experience
  • Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel and work a flexible schedule
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program
  • One or more years of Medical Assistant experience under a licensed healthcare supervisor
  • Urgent care or fast-paced clinical environment experience
Certification Requirements

One of the following certifications is required

  • CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, or ARMA

Accepted in lieu of MA certification at time of hire:

  • LPN or RN
  • EMT
  • CNA

Additional requirements:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within required timeframe)
  • Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) certification if required by role
  • State-specific MA credentialing requirements apply where applicable
