Job description

 

Educational requirements - High school graduate or equivalent.  Successful completion of a nursing assistant training program or currently enrolled in, or graduate of, an accredited RN program.

License/Certification requirements - CNA certification or currently enrolled in, or graduate of, an accredited RN program.  AHA BLS certification.

Experience requirements - Previous 6 months experience as a nursing assistant in acute care setting preferred, or satisfactory completion of a nursing assistant training program.

Special Skills or abilities -  Able to read, write and comprehend medical terminology and English and communicate effectively.  Emotional and physical stamina to work in a stressful environment related to patients, staff and visitors.  Good organizational skills to handle large volume of patient care activities. Able to lift 50 lbs.
