Job description

The Workday Security Administrator is a Senior Workday HRIS Analyst and is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the security configuration in Workday, the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). The Workday Security Administrator develops and manages custom security roles, permissions, and access within the Workday system to ensure data integrity and compliance. The Workday Security Administrator collaborates with Management to identify appropriate enhancements, modifications, and corrections to all HR-related technology security policies for process improvement and collaborates with HRIS team members on implementing the changes and enhancements.
 
LOCATION: The position is based at Martin Marietta’s headquarters in Raleigh, NC  and in the office 5 days/week.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Set up, configure, and maintain security roles, groups, and access controls to align with organizational needs and policies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues, such as access problems, for end-users.
  • Work closely with business partners, HR, IT, and other teams to translate security requirements into best practice solutions.
  • Support internal and external SOX audits by providing documentation and ensuring compliance with access and change management regulations.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of security configurations, processes, and incident resolutions.
  • Troubleshoot unexpected results or process flaws and recommend solutions.
  • Provide internal client support, including report writing and dashboard building, troubleshooting data access and system issues, recommending solutions, and implementing enhancements and fixes.
  • Provides program management assistance on various HR initiatives, including the rollout and implementation of new and existing HR programs.
  • Ensure data integrity within Workday and assist with HRIS data audits and security role permissions cleanup.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in HRIS to recommend improvements and optimizations. Actively participate in the Workday Community, training, and regional user groups to ensure awareness of current trends and innovation.
  • Maintain proper change management and HRIS configurations and procedures documentation.
  • Participate and support Workday migration and enhancement working sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, Human Resources Information Systems, or a related field
  • 3+ years of Workday experience required in several functional areas, including HCM, Benefits, Security, Absence, Time Tracking, and Reporting.
  • 3-5 years of experience in implementing and configuring security for Workday HCM modules, including business processes security and integration security groups.
  • 2+ years of statistical or data analysis experience designing custom reports and dashboards using standard Workday reporting functionality such as Report Writer, calculated fields, and Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions based on area of focus and needs of the business.
  • Proficiency in creating custom security groups, configuring security policies, and managing domain permissions for business and integration security groups. 
  • Experience with Authentication Policies, Single-Sign-On configuration, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is required. 
  • Strong security experience in role-based, user-based, and creating custom security domains to meet current and future business needs. Must have a deep understanding of how to configure and manage roles to restrict or grant access effectively.
  • Experienced Workday EIB template generation, population, and ability to load data using advanced-level Excel skills.
  • Workday Security certification is preferred.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills, including debugging and analysis of issues.
  • Must have strong documentation and project management skills.
  • A history of working with confidential data is required.
  • Experience in consulting is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
