As an Assistant General Manager with Yugo, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth operations and enhancing the student living experience. Through collaboration with the General Manager, you'll oversee day-to-day property management operations and support your team in delivering excellent performance while maintaining a vibrant and welcoming environment for all residents living in your community.
Reporting to the General Manager, here's what you'll be doing!
  • Assist in overseeing daily property operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and operational standards.
  • Manage resident accounts, including rent collections, delinquency follow-up, invoicing, deposits, and payment processing.
  • Support lease renewals, resident retention initiatives, and eviction processes in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate resident records, lease files, and financial documentation.
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting, budget tracking, and end-of-month close processes.
  • Support the development and monitoring of annual property budgets and expense management goals.
  • Lead leasing and marketing efforts by conducting property tours, responding to leasing inquiries, and processing lease applications.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and community amenities to support occupancy and leasing performance.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing resident concerns, resolving complaints, and conducting service request follow-ups.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of property and resident service needs.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to maintain curb appeal, cleanliness, safety, and overall community standards.
  • Assist with move-in and move-out processes, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant.
  • Participate in team leadership activities, including staff meetings, training, coaching, and employee development initiatives.
  • Ensure leasing offices, model units, and community spaces remain professional, organized, and tour-ready.
  • Comply with Fair Housing regulations and all applicable federal, state, and local laws while supporting overall property performance goals.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support community operations and business objectives.

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent, preferred. In lieu of degree, equivalent experience in residential properties, rental operations, or related business operations is required.?
  • Minimum of one year of experience, preferably in residential properties, rental operations, or related business operations required.
  • Relevant experience working at a property, even better at a university/college
  • Entrata experience, or relevant rental software experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain quality relationships
  • Strong customer service skills, ability to manage difficult or emotional customer and staff situations, responds promptly to customer needs and quickly responds to service requests
  • Exceptional conflict-resolution skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Carbon Literacy Certification or willingness to undertake training
