We are looking for a versatile and experiencedย Senior Technical Sound Designerย to support our audio team in creating high-quality sound effectsย and ambient audioย and in implementing them along with music and dialogueย in a dynamic game mix. This role is crucial inย populating our sonic landscape andย reinforcing ourย gameplayย and cinematicsย and will collaborate closely with designers, artists, andย otherย developers to enhance the overall player experienceย with sonically charged emotion.ย 

Core Responsibilitiesย ย 

  • Design and implement compelling sound effects for gameplay, environments, and cinematic moments.ย ย 
  • Contribute to the creation of immersive ambient audio landscapes to bring the game world to life.ย ย 
  • Collaborate with the audio team to refine andย maintainย the audio style and vision for the project.ย ย 
  • Work closely with designers andย engineersย to ensure audio is seamlessly integrated and supports gameplay mechanics.ย ย 
  • Troubleshoot andย optimizeย audioย implementationย to meet technical requirements and performance standards.ย ย 
  • Assistย in defining and documenting audio pipelines and workflows for current and future development needs.ย ย 

Core Qualificationsย ย 

  • 5+ years of experience in sound design for video games, with at least one shippedย AAAย title.ย ย 
  • Proficiencyย in sound design software and DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Reaper, Ableton Live,ย Soundminer, VST plugins, etc).ย ย 
  • Advancedย audioย implementation skillsย inย AudioKineticย Wwiseย and Unreal Engineย Blueprints.ย 
  • A generalist mindset with the ability to contribute to various aspects of audio production, including SFX, ambiances, musicย implementation, VO mixing, and technicalย scriptย implementation.ย ย 
  • A keen ear for detail and a passion for creating immersive audio experiences.ย ย 
  • Strong communicationย and collaboration skills, with the ability to adapt to evolving project needs.ย ย 
  • Ability to work well alone and in a team environment,ย remainingย flexible to the changing needs of the project.ย ย

The base pay range for this position is $140,000 to $170,000 per year. Actual compensation is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We also offer a competitive package of benefits including paid time off, sick time, company holidays, parental leave, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.ย
