Job Summary:
Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) delivers high-impact, technical solutions to complex national security issues. They are seeking a Software Developer to assist with systems engineering and testing and evaluation programs in support of the Department of Homeland Security.
Responsibilities:
• The Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and improving computer and network software and specialized utilities based on user needs.
• This involves analyzing requirements; applying computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles to build solutions; updating and enhancing existing software, and sometimes working with hardware engineers to integrate systems and define performance specifications.
• The role may also include maintaining and developing databases within specific application areas, either independently or as part of a team.
Qualifications:
Required:
• BA/BS with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in software development and database design and maintenance.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively, both in written and verbal formats, with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain DHS Suitability.
Preferred:
• Experience in providing assistance to program planning and oversight, exercise, development, execution and evaluation; system level analysis; system integration support inclusive of understanding of threats and vulnerability; technical assessment & evaluation to support and complement the Government’s technical experts in applying both acquisition efforts and RDT&E.
• Prior experience supporting DHS programs.
• Active DHS Suitability.
