Job description

Sign Installer

The Sign Installer will perform a wide range of duties related to the physical installation of signs.
This position is for all aspects of the physical installation of signage. The ideal candidate has previous print or signs production/installation experience and the physical ability to perform this job.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with fabricators on the field;
  • Inspect signs for defects before shipment or installation;
  • Assist in surveying and preparing the installation site;
  • Prepare the necessary hardware and equipment for installation;
  • Prepare the work site by removing old signage and preparing mounting surfaces;
  • Perform various signage installation, such as wall-mounting, hanging, raceway installation, vinyl application or other, depending on the requirements;
  • Work with a variety of tools such as saws, drills and rivet guns;
  • Mount interior and exterior signage to wall surfaces or substrates;
  • Follow precise assembly and installation instructions;
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures in the preparation and installation phases;
  • Install signage in strict compliance with the work order;
  • Perform a quality control inspection.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • The candidate must have 3+ years installation experience in a Sign Shop environment.
  • Experience in work with hands and a good understating of measuring and cutting material to exact job specifications.
  • Properly prepare and install all kinds of signs including vehicle graphics.
  • Ability to mount Interior and exterior signage to wall surfaces or substrates
  • Ability to read and comprehend schematics and blueprints;
  • Ability to learn and conduct quality control checks;
  • Ability to work at heights;
  • Knowledge of electrical/wiring is preferred;
  • High level of attention to detail;
  • Experience with fabrication equipment, tools, and hardware;
  • Ability to work as an active member of the team;
  • Knowledge of standard safe work practices;
  • Valid Driving license is a plus
