Position: Personal Household Attendant
Location: Upper East Side, New York City – Private Residence
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, approximately 10:00 AM–7:00 PM, with flexibility for evenings and occasional weekend needs as schedules evolve.
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience, plus paid vacation and select holidays. $45-50 per hour.
We are seeking an exceptionally polished, service-driven Personal Household Attendant to support the daily operations of a refined Upper East Side residence. This role requires a proactive, highly organized professional who excels at anticipating needs, maintaining impeccable standards, and providing seamless personal support within a sophisticated private home environment.
The client is a single principal with an adult child living at home. This position reports directly to the Executive Assistant and requires close collaboration regarding scheduling, household logistics, and day-to-day support.
The ideal candidate will possess a warm and discreet demeanor, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to balance household management with elevated personal service. This role is best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced household, understands luxury service standards, and takes pride in creating an environment that is calm, organized, and effortlessly maintained.

Primary ResponsibilitiesPrincipal & Personal Support
  • Provide thoughtful day-to-day support to the principal and household.
  • Anticipate needs and proactively assist with ever-changing schedules and priorities.
  • Coordinate closely with the Executive Assistant regarding daily logistics, appointments, travel, and household needs.
  • Prepare daily essentials including wardrobe selections, garments, accessories, meals-to-go, and event readiness.
  • Manage personal errands, reservations, shopping, heavy package coordination, returns, inventory tracking, and specialty requests.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
Wardrobe & Household Organization
  • Oversee the complete care and organization of an extensive wardrobe and accessory collection.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of garments, shoes, handbags, jewelry, and seasonal inventory.
  • Ensure all pieces are cleaned, pressed, repaired, and presentation-ready.
  • Coordinate tailoring, dry cleaning, shoe repair, and specialty garment care.
  • Steam, press, organize, and prepare clothing for daily wear, travel, and events.
  • Maintain meticulously organized closets, wardrobes, pantry spaces, refrigerators, and household storage systems.
Travel Preparation & Packing
  • Execute highly detailed packing and unpacking for frequent travel.
  • Follow wardrobe plans, outfit references, and packing instructions with precision.
  • Ensure all garments and accessories are prepared and available prior to departures.
  • Manage travel-related shopping, garment preparation, and organization before and after trips.
