An Assistant Shoe Repair helps skilled cobblers or shoe repairers by performing a variety of support tasks in a shoe repair shop. This can include cleaning and preparing shoes, replacing laces, polishing footwear, and assisting with minor repairs like attaching heels or soles. They may also help manage inventory, greet customers, and handle basic administrative duties. This role provides hands-on experience and is a good entry point for learning the trade of shoe repair.
