Job description

Assistant Security Director

This position is responsible for all supervisory, training and operations functions at the assigned post in accordance with post orders, client instructions and internal procedures/policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, implementation and continuous refinement of physical security policies, standards, guidelines, preventative programs and procedures to ensure an effective security and safety program.
  • Directly manage security officers and other personnel.
  • Identify and resolve security related issues in a collaborative manner with all involved parties.
  • Respond to incidents that occur, ensuring appropriate action is taken, all reports are properly completed, and appropriate parties are notified.
  • Train and supervise security officers on post orders and company policies.
  • Create, enforce and manage break schedules according to Brownstone and government polices/regulations.
  • Ensure proper tracking and maintenance of all on-site equipment.
  • Promote a positive work environment by providing constructive feedback, mentoring, training, correct action and discipline.
  • Conduct, supervise and prepare reports on any security or safety incidents.
  • Conduct interviews and evaluate new employees. Responsible for OJT of new employees and when changes occur to post orders. This may include orientation to post, review of post orders, routine responsibilities and responding to incidents, among other topics.
  • Develop and maintain scheduling for all team members. Adjust schedules as needed based upon client requirements.
  • Conduct scheduling audits weekly to ensure all time worked in correctly entered to ensure accurate payroll and billing.
  • Collaborate with the client, ensure excellent customer service and client satisfaction.
  • Take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines.
  • Effectively resolve client issues in a professional and service-focused manner and to de-escalate situations before they become hostile or unpleasant required.
  • Interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients, while functioning as a team player required; must be available to work outside normal shift schedule on an as-needed basis, and must be accessible by phone 24/7 for emergency response.
  • Additional essential duties will be defined in the Post Orders and/or by Brownstone Security.

Special Requirement

  • 24 years of age
  • 3 Years Security or Related Experience
  • 1 Year Scheduling Experience with a minimum of 336 weekly hours
  • 2 years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in the security industry
  • Maintain valid registration as a security guard throughout employment.
  • Maintain valid driver license in good standing and continue to meet all requirements of the Brownstone Driver Authorization Policy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Meet all requirements as required in the Brownstone Driver Authorization Policy.
