Job description

Job Title: Part-Time Overnight Security Ambassador
Shift: 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM
Reports to: Security Manager
Status: Part-Time
Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Overnight Security Ambassador to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary eyes and ears of the facility during evening and late-night hours. Your mission is to maintain a safe environment, protect company assets, and ensure that all closing procedures are followed strictly.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Multi-Building Patrol & Surveillance: Conduct regular foot patrols across multiple buildings and grounds to deter unauthorized access, vandalism, or suspicious activity. Ensure comprehensive coverage of all structures within the property perimeter.
  • System Operation: Demonstrate a clear understanding of security and fire systems. Monitor CCTV feeds and alarm panels; respond immediately to any irregularities, system faults, or breaches.
  • Facility Inspections: Inspect all buildings, equipment, and access points (doors, windows, gates) to ensure they are fully secured and function correctly.
  • Incident Response: Act as the first responder to alarms, medical emergencies, fires, or threats to life and property.
  • Reporting: Maintain a detailed daily log and draft accurate incident reports for the Security Manager and compliance records.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed and maintain the integrity of on-site safety systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED (background in security or law enforcement is a strong plus).
  • Technical Proficiency: A working knowledge of integrated security systems and fire alarm control panels. Ability to interpret system alerts and follow reset or escalation procedures.
  • Observation: Exceptional observational skills and a high level of situational awareness.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and team coordination.
  • Composure: Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in high-pressure or emergency situations.
  • Computer Skills: Basic proficiency for report writing and operating digital surveillance software.
  • Certifications: First Aid, CPR and Act 235 certification preferred.
  • Background Check: Must have a clean criminal record and the willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while navigating between different buildings; ability to climb stairs and lift to 50 lbs. if necessary.
  • Schedule: This is an overnight position starting at 7:00 PM. Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays.
  • Environment: Exposure to various environments, ranging from restricted indoor zones to outdoor public areas in varying weather conditions.
