Job description

We are excited to welcome a dedicated and attentive Hotel Overnight Security professional to join our friendly team! As the overnight security officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests and staff during the quieter hours of the night. This position is perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining a secure environment, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys working independently while being part of a supportive team. You will be the main point of contact for any security-related issues, providing a reassuring presence that helps guests feel safe and cared for throughout their stay. Your work will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, making our hotel a trusted haven for travelers. Responsibilities

  • Monitor hotel premises through regular patrols and surveillance systems to ensure safety and security of guests and staff.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to any alarms, emergencies, or suspicious activities during overnight hours.
  • Maintain a log of daily activities, incidents, and any irregularities encountered during the shift.
  • Assist guests and staff with security-related inquiries or concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
  • Check identification and verify the credentials of visitors to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Perform routine security checks on doors, windows, and access points to prevent breaches.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain alert during overnight shifts.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of emergency procedures and protocols.
  • Physical ability to patrol the premises and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to maintaining a safe environment for all hotel guests and employees.
