Job description

Swing Shift Hotel Security Officer

Hotel Security Officers have a broad role focused on protecting guests, employees, property, and hotel operations while providing a professional presence.

  • Monitor hotel entrances, exits, lobby, parking areas, hallways, and other designated areas.
  • Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the property.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and report suspicious or unusual activity.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, alarms, medical emergencies, and other calls for assistance.
  • Assist hotel management and staff with guest-related security concerns.
  • Enforce hotel policies and access-control procedures.
  • Monitor restricted areas and prevent unauthorized individuals from entering.
  • Check doors, gates, emergency exits, and other access points as required.
  • Protect hotel property and report damage, theft, or suspicious activity.
  • Maintain accurate daily activity logs, patrol records, and incident reports.
  • Communicate with Dispatch, hotel management, emergency services, and law enforcement when necessary.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and customer-service attitude.
  • Remain alert and attentive throughout the entire shift.
  • Follow all hotel-specific post orders, company policies, and procedures.
  • Never sleep, abandon the assigned post, falsify reports, or engage in conduct that interferes with security responsibilities.
