Job description

We are looking for a high-performing Sales Director. The successful candidate will be overseeing a sales team and be responsible for meeting our monthly objectives. The sales director's responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. The sales director's duties will include hitting monthly targets, building relationships with team members and understanding data to make fair assessments. 

Job Summary: 

The Sales Director role gives you the opportunity to be a sales leader. This position works closely with the marketing team. Creativity, organizational skills and team leadership ability will be crucial for success. 

Responsibilities 

  • Own and hit/exceed monthly sales targets  

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets 

  • Identify process bottlenecks 

  • Lead and motivate staff to improve customer service with clients 

  • Draft detailed and accurate sales reports 

  • Recruit, hire and train new sales representatives 

  • Establish a sales training program to train new employees 

  • Meet with supervisor to assess company performance 

  • Analyze current sales strategy and suggest solutions for improvement 

  • Understand all the prospects needs, problems or wants 

  • If needed assist sales team in reaching the monthly goal 

Skills 

  • Able to understand and dissect data 

  • Ability to communicate, and present to all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level 

  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills 

  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills 

  • Proven record of successful deals closed 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a sales role 

  • A minimum of 1-2 years management experience  

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills 

  • Proven sales experience, meeting or exceeding targets
