Salary: $50,000 - $55.000

Position Overview

Thoroughbred Express Auto Wash is seeking a driven, organized, and creative Marketing Assistant to support companywide marketing initiatives across multiple districts and states. This position plays a key role in executing events, creating content, managing social platforms, supporting sponsorships, and assisting in campaign performance tracking.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable traveling, creative in content development, detail-oriented with analytics, and aligned with Thoroughbred Express' culture and CORE values. They are also someone who is able to travel to locations in Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, & Ohio regularly to attend events and gather organic on site content.

This role reports to the Marketing Director and works closely with district leaders, site managers, and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Event Travel & Coordination

Attend grand openings, customer appreciation events, community partnerships, and company functions as assigned.

Assist with planning and logistics, including vendor coordination, promotional materials, setup, and teardown.

Capture photo and video content during events.

Represent Thoroughbred Express professionally at all off-site engagements.

Travel required; company covers approved travel expenses including mileage/gas, meals, and hotel accommodations when applicable.

2. Content Creation

Capture high-quality photos and videos at sites and events.

Edit and produce short-form and long-form content for marketing use.

Assist in drafting and editing social media posts, newsletters, internal communications, and promotional materials.

Maintain brand consistency across all content (visual and written).

Coordinate with site managers to generate organic, location-specific content.

3. Social Media Management

Schedule and publish content across company platforms.

Monitor comments and messages, responding professionally and in alignment with company standards.

Track engagement metrics and performance data.

Assist in growing reach, followers, and engagement organically.

Identify trending opportunities that align with company branding.

4. Sponsorship & Community Coordination

Assist in evaluating sponsorship requests and community event opportunities.

Maintain sponsor relationships and track deliverables.

Coordinate logo placements, promotional benefits, and event representation.

Provide recommendations to leadership on potential sponsorship investments.

5. Public Relations Support

Draft press releases and media communications.

Maintain and update media contact lists.

Coordinate outreach for new store openings, community initiatives, and major company announcements.

Support reputation management efforts when necessary.

6. Campaign Support

Assist with planning and executing marketing campaigns including grand openings, membership drives, text marketing initiatives, and seasonal promotions.

Track campaign performance and report results.

Coordinate internal communication to ensure operational alignment with marketing efforts.

7. Data Analysis & Reporting

Compile campaign and social media data into organized reports.

Provide performance insights and recommendations for optimization.

Track ROI on sponsorships and promotions when applicable.

Assist in developing dashboards and recurring marketing performance summaries.

8. Partnerships & Collaboration

Coordinate with influencers, ambassadors, vendors, and external partners.

Ensure collaborative initiatives are executed professionally and on schedule.

Support cross-department collaboration between marketing, operations, and leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

13 years of marketing, content creation, or social media experience preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with social media platforms and scheduling tools.

Basic knowledge of photo and video editing software.

Ability to travel as required.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
