Job Overview

Glencore is one of the world’s largest globally diversified natural resource companies. Through the scale and diversity of our industrial and marketing businesses, we responsibly supply the commodities that are fundamental to the building blocks of life. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join our team on a contract basis. This is a fully remote role, offering you the flexibility to work from your own space while contributing to a global leader.

The successful candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between our business objectives and our technology solutions. You will analyse business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate complex requirements into actionable insights and functional specifications for our technical teams. This role is crucial for driving efficiency and innovation within our organisation.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements from stakeholders across various departments.
• Translate business needs into clear and concise functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including process maps, business cases, and requirement traceability matrices.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to gather and validate requirements.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, developers, and quality assurance teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Identify, evaluate, and report on business risks, issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Support the testing and implementation phases of projects to ensure a smooth transition from development to production.
• Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear and consistent communication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrable experience in requirements gathering, process modelling, and business process re-engineering.
• A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working within the natural resources, mining, or commodities sector would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is desirable.

Benefits

• A competitive contract salary package.
• The flexibility and convenience of a fully remote working arrangement.
• An opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects within a world-leading global organisation.
