Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support to our dentists and patients in a fast-paced clinical environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-focused setting.

Responsibilities:

- Assist dentists with patient care, including preparing patients for procedures, taking vital signs, and providing post-operative instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Utilize medical imaging equipment, including digital X-rays, to capture images of patients' teeth and mouths.
- Utilize medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to accurately document patient information and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Support dentists during procedures, including pediatric dentistry, and maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and other support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Operate dental equipment, including Dentrix, and maintain a high level of technical proficiency.
- Develop a strong understanding of dental assisting procedures and protocols, with a focus on pediatric dentistry.

Skills:

- Experience preferred, but not a must.
- Proficiency in taking x-rays.
- Familiarity with Dentrix software and dental assisting systems.
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and a commitment to staying current with the latest developments in dental care.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Certification as a Dental Assistant or willingness to obtain certification within a reasonable timeframe.
