Essential Duties
The Marketing Student Assistant supports the SBDC marketing efforts and training program. The position focuses on marketing SBDC programs and assisting with event planning, preparation, and implementation. The role also provides routine administrative and customer service support that contributes to a strong client experience.
Duties:
  1. Marketing and Outreach
    • Creates and updates marketing materials for SBDC programs and events.
    • Drafts and schedules email campaigns.
    • Develops social media content that highlights training and workshops.
    • Assists with updates to the SBDC website.
    • Supports consistent application of SBDC branding.
  2. Event Planning and Implementation
    • Assists with planning, scheduling, and coordinating training programs and events.
    • Prepares all event materials\
    • Supports event delivery by greeting attendees, managing check-in, and assisting presenters.
    • Tracks attendance and processes event evaluations.
    • Supports logistics for the SBDC training facility.
  3. Program and Office Support
    • Assists the training coordinator with basic presentation research and project tasks.
    • Provides customer service at the front desk by answering phones and greeting visitors.
    • Schedules appointments and prepares meeting materials.
    • Completes data entry, including attendee records and reporting information.
    • Operates standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, and printers.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled as an undergraduate student at Angelo State University.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
